The First National Bank in Carlyle
was founded in 1878 by the Schlafly Bros.
The Schlafly brothers built the bank building
located at 891 Fairfax, Carlyle and still serves as the Bank’s main
headquarters today. As the
bank and its employees grew, a drive-up branch was built in 1969 at 12th
and Jefferson Street, Carlyle.
In July 1997, this facility was vacated and the new Carlyle
Branch opened at 1350 Twelfth Street, Carlyle.
In January 2007, the Bank expanded outside the city limits of
Carlyle and opened our Aviston Branch.
First National Bank now has three locations with 35 employees.
The
